I moved up north about seventeen years ago, and I absolutely love it here.

I met my sweet husband about fourteen years ago, and we got married only seven months after we met.

We have had a wonderful life together. I thought for sure that I would want to move South once we got married, but I certainly did not want to move. We both love it here even though it does get pretty cold and snowy during the winter months. When I was a girl, I remember having to use air conditioning almost year round. It was so hot. The only months that we did not use the air conditioner were the months of December and January. Where my husband and I live now, that is not the case. It is warm in the summertime, but that is about it. From September through May, there is absolutely no need for air conditioning. In fact, many of our friends do not even own an air conditioner. We had one window unit that we used in our living room during the summer months. We planned on using it this summer, but there was an accident while bringing it into the house. My husband had it stored in the shed, and he went to bring it in the house because it was starting to get hot. He tripped over something on his way in the house and dropped the air conditioner. It broke into multiple pieces, and we were not able to repair it. I guess we will be purchasing a new air conditioner for our living room soon.

I never thought that having children would be so much work.

Do not get me wrong; I love my children to death, and they are worth all of the work. Being a parent is just a little difficult at times. I have three children. Our oldest is twelve, and our youngest is four. My four year old has been going through one of those tough stages. Everyone talks about the “terrible twos”, but I honestly think that my son has had a harder time while being four than while being two. He is trying to do his own thing which is awesome, but he gets himself into trouble quite often. A few weeks ago, my husband and I began noticing that the house was much warmer than usual. I checked the thermostat, and it was set higher than we usually keep it. I ask all three of my children if they had touched the thermostat, and all three of them said that they did not touch it. About three days later, the thermostat was changed again. I asked my children once again if they had touched the thermostat, and they all said that they had not. I was so frustrated because the house was literally twenty degrees warmer than what I had set the thermostat to. After three weeks of this happening every three or four days, I caught my youngest son standing on a chair and adjusting the thermostat. He was the culprit. I could not believe how he timed it because I am almost always watching him. He did it while I was doing dishes in the kitchen. I am glad we finally figured out who was adjusting it though.

My husband, Todd, and I have been trying to figure out if we want to move or put money into remodeling our current home.

We have been going back and forth about it for about three years now. The reason that we want to move is because the house is old, and we do not have as much land as we would like. The reason we do not want to move is because we love our house, and we have many fond memories here. We have done a little bit of remodeling, but it has not been anything major. I forgot to mention that one other reason that we would like to move or remodel is because the house is very hard to heat in the winter. The winters here are brutally cold, and our house loses heat very quickly because of the old windows and lack of insulation. My husband and I have tried a couple different things to keep the house warmer. Last winter, we bought a propane fireplace, and we really regretted that. I do not think it would have been as bad if we would have bought it brand new, but we bought it used from someone on the internet. It honestly looked beautiful. It was a nice cherry wood color, and I was excited about it at first. We lit the fireplace for the first time and found out that it did not lite correctly. My husband replaced a part, and it helped. Whoever owned it before us put a sticker on the back part of the fireplace, so when the fireplace was on it covered our entire living room in black soot. Needless to say, we no longer have that propane fireplace.

I wish I knew ahead of time when something was going to go wrong. I know that everyone would say that, however it just isn’t usually possible to know when something is going to go wrong. I took a long road trip with one of my friends last week, and it was the worst road trip of my life. It would have been good if the A/C in my vehicle had not stopped toiling within the first few hours of the trip. I have never had any problems with my car, so I thought that it would be a good idea for us to take my vehicle on the road trip. Well, my A/C apparently had other ideas. It started getting boiling in the car, so I turned the cooling system way down to the coldest temperature. I also turned the blower on full blast. It just seemed like the air that was blowing out was not honestly cool, and I found out later that it particularly wasn’t. I called my hubby and asked him why the cooling system would be blowing out boiling air, and he said that it particularly had a leak. My pal and I stopped by a mechanic about ten hours into our road trip, and he told us that one of our A/C lines was leaking, and it needed to be substituted. I asked him how much it would cost, and it was super extravagant. I decided not to get it substituted because I did not want to spend the money on it at that time. I almost wish that I would have because the rest of the trip was quite miserable without A/C.

I obtained my home about three years ago; I got a actually enjoyable deal on the home because it needed quite a bit of work, but when I first looked at the house, I was not convinced that it was for me.

• I legitimately continued looking for houses for about another three months… My mind kept going back to this home though.

I actually liked the layout of it, and it had a lot of land with it. It had the potential of being my dream home, however I knew that it would need a lot of labor to be just that. I decided to just go ahead and buy it and labor on it for as long as I needed to make it my dream home. Well, it has been three years, and I am about half way done. I had to take a little cut from the aesthetics of my home to save money to repair my air conditioner. I knew that the air conditioner was not toiling when I obtained the house. I also knew that anything Heating and Air Conditioning related would be an overpriced fix, however I took that into consideration. It took me a few months of saving in order to be able to afford fixing my air conditioner. I am so thrilled that I decided to do that before continuing to repair up my house. It is so much nicer toiling in an air conditioned house. It makes me so happy to be nice and cool. I find that I get more labor done as well. I have a long way to go, however at least I have A/C now.

Christmas is my number one time of the year.

I am not going to lie.

I absolutely appreciate getting gifts. I appreciate to supply gifts as well, however to be honest, getting gifts makes me so much happier. I know for sure that gift giving is my appreciate language. My hubby could buy me something as little as a candy bar, plus I would be so glad. He knows how much I appreciate getting gifts, so he buys me things all of the time. I am so thankful for such a thoughtful plus caring man. My hubby plus my mom are the two people in my life who know that I appreciate gifts plus who are willing to buy me things all of the time. My mom got me a humidifier for Christmas this year, plus I was beyond excited. My cousin asked me in private if I was disappointed with my gift this year, however I told him that I absolutely was not disappointed. I appreciate my humidifier. I had not even expressed to my mom that I had been wanting a humidifier for awhile, so I have no idea how she knew that I wanted one. I feel that my hubby may have told her, however I don’t even remember mentioning a humidifier to him either. He was super glad when I opened up the humidifier though. It was almost like he knew that I was going to get a humidifier. I have used my new humidifier about three times, plus I absolutely like it. I find that my skin is not as dry as before, plus that is absolutely nice. I appreciate getting gifts even if it is just a humidifier.

It was almost like she knew that I was going to get a humidifier. I have used my modern humidifier about three times, as well as I entirely like it. I have the most charming best buddy in the world. Her name is Alamy! She is so sweet, as well as my great friend and I have been great friends for sometime now. I am pretty sure that my great friend and I have known each other for about ten years. My pal and I were best friends from the start. It was nice to be able to connect to someone so easily. I have never had that happen to me before. Almay is one of the most frugal people that I know. It drives me deranged how frugal she is periodically. One of the things that frustrates me is that she does not use a/c in her home or car. She refuses to use a/c because she thinks that it is too extravagant. I understand that it can be quite extravagant to run a/c throughout your home all summer time long, however my great friend and I live down south, as well as it is obnoxiously hot periodically. I have no idea how she makes it in that home of hers without a/c while in the summertime, then last summer, there were about fifteen afternoons that got above one hundred degrees, as well as most afternoons were in the nineties. Almay took it like a champ. Whenever my great friend and I wanted to hang out though, I told her that she had to come to my home because I entirely had a/c. She never argued with me although she was consistently cold at my home because she wasn’t used to the a/c. I turN the temperature in my home up to seventy-five degrees whenever she comes over, but she is still cold.

One of my preferred things in life is being a big sibling.

I know that it sounds childish to say “big sibling,” but I do not know how else to express what it is like. My sibling looks up to me so much, as well as it has entirely made me evaluate the things that I do as well as the reasons that I do them since I know that she is seeing me, then she is ten years younger than I am, so we did not play much together. I was out of the home by the time that she was eight. Now, she is eighteen as well as in university. I cannot believe how quickly time flies by. She is going to a small university a few hours south of my parents’ house. She is living in the dorms, however they are not the nicest! They are not terrible, however the a/c does not work really well in her dorm room, so I decided to buy her an a/c to put in her window. I made sure to ask if that would be okay since the university would have to pay more on electricity, however they said that it was fine since the A/C did not work well in her room. It was super sweet to see her reaction. She was super surprised as well as happy to have an a/c that worked. I knew that she always loved sleeping in a cool room, so I cannot imagine how taxing it was for her to sleep when her room was warm. Hopefully, the a/c that I got her will help her get some much needed rest.

Where my partner plus I live now, that is not the case. It is boiling in the summertime, but that is about it. From August through May, there is absolutely no need for air conditioner.
