Even in the summertime when the weather is really hot outside, I have issues with cold feet. I feel like the problem shouldn’t really bother me during the summer when the temperatures are warm outside, and yet I always have a problem with my feet being too cold. It’s super annoying to both me and to my husband. We are always fighting about the fact that I want to turn the air conditioning up so that the cold air will stop blowing out on my feet all the time. My husband refuses to turn the air conditioning down because he’s really hot natured and he says that he has to have the air conditioning on almost all the time during the summer. This drives me crazy, and we end up fighting about it a lot. It sounds like it’s a silly problem to have in a marriage, but it’s really annoying for both of us all the time. I don’t really know what to do about it, since the air conditioning vents are on the floor in our house. I actually thought about calling up our local HVAC company to see if there’s some way that we can move our air conditioning vents off of the floor and put them up in the ceiling or something instead. I know that that would involve a lot of moving ductwork around, but it might be worth it to keep us from fighting all the time. When I told my husband I was thinking about doing this, he laughed and said that it was actually a good idea. I think that my cold feet are actually starting to make him crazy so he would be willing to spend all of that money to get the air conditioning vents moved.

I guess it is a bit of an achievement, when I think about it. Being married to an HVAC technician is difficult sometimes because of the kind of schedule that they keep sometimes. I know that sometimes people don’t understand that HVAC technicians have to keep weird hours sometimes, but that’s just how it is. A lot of times, people have issues with their heating and cooling systems at night and on weekends or holidays. That’s why my husband just ends up with issues with his schedule sometimes. That’s the only thing that I don’t like about him working as an HVAC technician, really. All of the other parts of his job are completely fine with me for the most part. He makes a really good living and he’s great at his job. I am happy that he enjoys his job, but sometimes I get really irritated whenever I want him to come home for dinner or for some sort of a holiday celebration and he is out working on someone’s heating system or cooling system. I wish that people wouldn’t call the HVAC company with their problems after hours and on holidays. I guess that most people just don’t really think about the fact that HVAC technicians like my husband have families that they need to be home with, too!

My allergies are worse this year than ever
My allergies are worse this year than they have ever been before. I don’t know what’s going on around here with all of the pollen, but I wish that it would just stop already. I am sick and tired of all of the coughing and the sneezing, that’s for sure. Nothing seems to be helping this year, even my regular allergy medications. I actually called up my allergy doctor and he doesn’t have an opening at his office until the first week of September! I guess everyone is suffering this year. The receptionist at the allergy doctor actually gave me some advice though. She said that a lot of people were having luck with having their ventilation systems cleaned out by a professional HVAC technician. Apparently, when you have a professional ductwork cleaning job done, it can get rid of some of the pollen that may be trapped in your home’s ventilation system. Getting rid of the pollen equals getting rid of some of those allergens that are making you miserable. I thanked her for her advice then I immediately called up my local HVAC company to see if they could come out and clean the ductwork in my house for me. They made an appointment for me for next week, and I literally cannot wait to get them into my house. I’m going to ask them to put an anti allergen filter in my air conditioning system too. I might actually even talk to them about a whole home air purification system. At this point, I’m willing to do just about anything to get rid of the pollen.
