My hubby Jon just isn’t wonderful at fixing things around our house! I don’t suppose what the deal is with him, but even if he watches a video online about fixing things, he still can’t repair things, back in the summertime when our a/c plan tore up, Jon said that he wanted to try to repair it himself instead of calling the heating, ventilation and A/C supplier.

Jon just isn’t wonderful at fixing things, he’s pretty smart about a lot of things, but being handy around the cabin just isn’t a single of them at all! Whenever he tries to repair something, he ends up making it much worse than it was to start with and that’s what ended up happening with our air conditioner system, too… But even though the summer time was almost over when this happened, the weather still wasn’t cooling down much and I am a lady who needs a/c whenever it’s hotter than 72 degrees outside. Jon decided to try to repair the a/c himself rather than call the local heating, ventilation and A/C supplier, but then he ended up with the a/c plan spread out all over the floor in little pieces and parts. I was so incensed at him when he did that! The people I was with and I ended up having to call the heating, ventilation and A/C supplier anyway, and both of us had to pay them a lot more than both of us would have if we’d just called them on the first site.

The heating and air conditioning company that I had been doing business with for a few years in this area just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

Prices had steadily increased, for comparatively little customer service.

It’s not that they’ve been doing a terrible job, it’s just that I get the sense that I could find a heating and air conditioning company that can do a better job without charging such exorbitant prices. The last straw came when One of their HVAC technicians suggested that I completely replace my heating and air conditioning system despite the fact that it was only a decade old! He cited a few problems that I was sure were repairable without scrapping the entire system. So I decided to look elsewhere for HVAC service. I did my research as best as I could, looking for other businesses and all the reviews that I could find on them. It turns out there was an HVAC company even closer to where I live that had excellent reviews and seemingly lower prices. I am definitely going to give them a try. I surely hope that they won’t tell me that I need to replace my heating and air conditioning system. It just seems crazy to me, but I will have to see. My HVAC system really had not been acting up prior to the HVAC technician telling me that I may as well replace it. Ultimately, I just believe that they were trying to sell me a new HVAC unit and make me spend a whole bunch of money. That’s why I left!

My wife has left to go visit her parents far away to the southeast of the country.

I would have accompanied her, but work obligations have compelled me to stay behind.

We have to keep the income flowing, after all. I wasn’t quite able to request vacation time because her parents extended the offer for a visit with such short notice. My wife completely understands, though she will miss me. I’ll miss her too, but there is one thing that I won’t miss for the entire duration of her stay with her parents. My wife has a tendency to either turn the heat way up or barely use the air conditioner for the entire time she is home. Because she is home more often than I am, I often come home to a house that is significantly warmer than I would like it to be. I’ve learned to deal with this. However, on the occasions that I’m the only one home, it is nice to get some quality alone time and enjoy a cool and crisp house for a change! It’s absolutely wonderful to not have to be so warm. My wife even knew that I would particularly enjoy this while she was gone, and she admonished me not to use the air conditioner excessively. I pay the bill, so I’ll do as I please, thank you very much! After all, with all the money we’ve been saving this summer barely using the air conditioner at all, I can afford to crank it up just about as high as I want it to go.
