I have to say that I’m absolutely surprised by where we landed for our retirement. What makes it all the more surprising is the fact that it’s not at all where my fiance plus I planned to be. The plan was to transport south to all the A/C plus leave any semblance of winter season behind. My friend and I even upgraded the residential HVAC in our outdated apartment plus sold it in anticipation of moving south. My friend and I rented an home for the final year of my career plus were ready to go south to the land of the heat pump. Well, we ended up getting the heat pump however it sure wasn’t where we planned on being. Our daughter provided birth to our first grandchild plus we decided to transport closer to her in the midwest. And with the money we made from selling our house, we chose to build a house. It was something that we had always wanted to do anyway. My friend and I are thrilled to be living here plus love our new home. My friend and I especially love the residential HVAC. Instead of going the traditional route, we decided to go with a geothermal heat pump. It just made so much more sense all the way around. My friend and I absolutely wanted the heating plus cooling in our apartment to be sustainable. And even though a geo heat pump comes with higher initial costs, it was worth it in the long run. Not only do I love the radiant floor heating however the cost of HVAC is far less with a geo heat pump. So it all turned out absolutely well plus we’re thrilled right where we are.
