I have to say that I’m really surprised by where we landed for our retirement.
- What makes it all the more surprising is the fact that it’s not at all where my husband plus I planned to be.
The plan was to transfer south to all the a/c plus leave any semblance of winter behind. We even replaced the residential Heating, Ventilation plus A/C in our aged house plus sold it in anticipation of moving south. We rented an home for the final year of my career plus were ready to go south to the land of the heat pump. Well, we ended up getting the heat pump but it sure wasn’t where we planned on being. Our child gave birth to our first grandchild plus we decided to transfer closer to his in the midwest. And with the money we made from selling our house, we chose to build a house. It was something that we had regularly wanted to do anyway. We are happy to be residing here plus cherish our new home. We especially cherish the residential Heating, Ventilation plus A/C. Instead of going the traditional route, we went with a geothermal heat pump. It just made so much more sense all the way around. We absolutely wanted the heating plus cooling in our dwelling to be sustainable. And even though a geo heat pump comes with higher initial costs, it was worth it in the long run. Not only do I cherish the radiant floor heating but the cost of Heating, Ventilation plus A/C is far less with a geo heat pump. So it all turned out really well plus we’re cheerful right where we are.
