For sure, the last twenty years have been all about my family. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My wife and I got married straight out of college and lived in an apartment with really poor residential HVAC. But that certainly wasn’t the worst thing about that apartment. It was in a bad neighborhood and we had some pretty weird neighbors. However, that apartment served as motivation for us to continue to save in order to be homeowners. And the first thing we did once we bought our house was to replace the heating and cooling equipment. That initial HVAC unit lasted us until last year. So when we were going through HVAC upgrade process, I got to thinking about what else I would like to do to our house. The kids are now on the way to college or very close to it. So a lot of what I had to do for all those years is over. Of course, I still go to the office with the great zone controlled HVAC to earn a living. But outside of that, I’ve got more time to myself now that the kids are pretty much on their own. So I decided to put in a bit of a man cave if you will. And I found the perfect spot in my basement to put up a few interior walls and add a ductless heat pump for residential HVAC. My buddies helped me out with it except when it came to the ductless heat pump. The HVAC professionals made short work of that. I have to say, that I really enjoyed my football even more this year watching it in my man cave. And I’m really impressed with the ductless heat pump as it just keeps providing amazing heating this winter.
