I have no idea how I have such bad advantage when it comes to wood stoves.
When I was a little girl, I tried helping my parents out by adding wood to our wood stove one night.
My parents were in the other room, so they did not even know that I did it. I didn’t mention it to them because I thought that I was doing something sweet. I had all great intentions, however what I didn’t realize was that I didn’t close the door all of the way, as well as a piece of wood fell out. It was on fire, so it caught the rug on the floor on fire, however thankfully, my dad found the fire before it got too big. I had nightmares about that for years. My partner as well as I bought a home with a wood stove years ago. I actually enjoy the odor of a wood burning stove. It reminds me of home because I grew up having a wood stove. Somehow, I managed to catch my home on fire with our wood stove as well. I have no idea how I did it this time. I just woke up in the middle of the night to a fire. It was the scariest thing that I have ever experienced. I am so glad that my great friend and I were able to get out of the house. My pal and I were able to save the house, however my wood stove was destructiond quite a bit. I refuse to use a wood stove now. I am too afraid of them, as well as I feel that I have great reason to be afraid of them.
