Technically speaking I am old enough to retire, but I have no desire to do so, and how would I fill up my days if I didn’t have a task? All of my adolescents have long since moved out & started families of their own! My fiance passed away 2 years ago. My apartment feels so substantial & empty, I have grown to hate residing there, however if I quit working, I would have nothing to do however watch cable & ride out the clock until I join my fiance on the other side. My best friend Ed came to me with an interesting idea. He learn an article about the growing demand for certified Heating, Ventilation, & A/C techs in the southern states, and down south Heating, Ventilation, & A/C techs get paid a lot more money than I have ever made before, and ed recommended I look for a retirement community along the beach anywhere & apply for a task as their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C expert… This is the epitome of “killing 2 pigeons with a single stone” because I got to transfer to a great condo on the beach & keep doing the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C work I love! Up north most of the repairs were on furnaces, because the Winter weeks can be bitterly cold. Down here there are really few oil furnace repairs being proposed, because there is really little cause to ever use them, and on the other hand, air conditioning systems are in use heavily for 8 to 10 weeks a year. I enjoy my modern locale, I enjoy the beach, & I enjoy making more money than ever before as an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C tech.
