It had been a long time coming that I needed to get a brand new central heating and air conditioning system that was up to date with today’s standards.

• My old central heating and air conditioning system was at the end of its life and had been for a while.

It was showing in the amount of heat and a/c repair calls I always had to make to the local heating and air conditioning company. I am sure they were getting sick of hearing from me! Thought they enjoyed the money on each and every HVAC call I am sure. It was one of the heating and cooling specialists from the local heat and a/c company that finally convinced me to get that brand new central heating and air conditioning system that is now up to date and works great. It is like night and day having this new HVAC unit. The air flow in my home is so much better, and the heating really warms me up nicely during this cold winter we are having. In the hot summer that is ahead, I am sure that the central air conditioning system will be just as good. I should have went out and bought a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system some time ago. But I was just being cheap trying to save money because my old central heating and air conditioning system actually still worked, even though it was weak and I knew it. Getting to this point is like a milestone. I now finally have the absolute best heating and air conditioning system in HVAC technology today!

Being an independent heating and air conditioning contractor takes a special kind of person and a special kind of business sense. And that is to be prepared to work extra hard! That is how I got into the independent heating and air conditioning business when I graduated HVAC school. I did not want to work for some heat and a/c company in the city. The pay is not as good and you work your tail off without any additional compensation for it. Being an independent heating and air conditioning contractor you have total control over what you make and how much you charge for each job you go on. I actually like working hard as an independent heating and air conditioning specialist. Because I get to see the results of all my hard work in the great living I make. Sometimes I will work 7 days a week if there is a lot of HVAC work to be done. And sometimes I will take a few days off. Being in total control is what is the best about working for yourself. And again, this is why I became an independent heating and air conditioning contractor when I graduated heat and a/c school instead of working for a heating and cooling company. It was not easy to get this HVAC business off the ground. At one point I actually thought I may have to go and work for a heat and a/c company thinking it was not going to work out. But lucky for me, it all worked out perfect and that I have now been in business for over 20 years!

My mom refuses to come over to our house because she says that we keep the thermostat turned down way too low in our house.

I personally think that she’s being ridiculous because we keep the thermostat set at 68 degrees almost year round.

I don’t think that that is too cold, but my mom has always been one of those people who thinks that she has to have the thermostat set at 85 degrees during the winter when it’s cold outside. We just aren’t going to run our heating system that much in our house, because it’s a lot cheaper or for us to just put on an extra sweater or something then to keep the heating system running all the time. Our heating bills get to be really high during the winter, and so we found that if we keep the thermostat set at 68 degrees all year round, it is the optimal setting for us to save money on our heating and cooling bills. But we also want to be able to have my mom over to visit once in a while, and she is so stubborn that she won’t come unless we promise to turn the heating up! She’s really hard to get along with sometimes, if you want to know the truth. I told her that we would build a fire in the fireplace and she could sit by it the whole time if she was that cold. She says that that is not good enough for her and maybe she would just bring over her own little space heater to plug in next to her chair.

My husband Tom ended up tearing up our furnace last month when he was trying to fix it himself.

Tom drives me absolutely crazy when he is trying to fix something around our house.

He is not the world’s handiest guy, by any stretch of the imagination. The bad thing about it is that he actually thinks that he is the world’s handiest guy. It seems like whenever Tom thinks that he is going to fix something, he ends up making the whole problem worse than it was to begin with. This happened last summer when he was trying to fix the central air conditioning system in our house. He thought that he knew exactly what was wrong with it and that he could fix it himself. However, a small problem went on to being a really major problem and we ended up having to replace our entire central air conditioning system after his little repair job. His one little repair job for the A/C system ended up costing us a small fortune and we had to cancel our summer vacation because of it! Needless to say, I was pretty furious after this. Now that it’s winter, we are having a little bit of trouble with our furnace. Tom says that he’s gonna fix it himself, but I just don’t think I’m gonna let that happen. Last month, he tried to fix it and he ended up making it worse. I think that this should be one of those three strikes in you’re out types of things. I’m just going to call the HVAC company.

The kids have to go back to school in two weeks, and I am really hoping that they have the heating system fixed in the building by then. For some reason, the heating system in the building where they attend classes has not been working lately. It’s taking forever for them to get the heating system fixed, and I don’t know why. It’s really starting to get on my nerves. Every single day, the kids come home and tell me how uncomfortable they were all day because of the lack of heating in their classroom. That just doesn’t make any sense to me, seeing as how our tax dollars go toward the public school buildings. There should be no problem with getting the heating system fixed right away for these kids. When I called up the school administration, they told me that they were having issues with the commercial HVAC company that they normally use for these sorts of things, but I don’t care about any of that. I told the administrator that I don’t care about red tape or any of their political stuff that they have going on with the HVAC company. The only thing I care about is the fact that my kids are sitting in class without heating all day long. The kids are actually having to use dumb little electric heating units to try and stay warm in class all day. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I know that most of the other parents completely agree with me too. They better have this heating stuff fixed in two weeks, or there is going to be heck to pay.

I got my mom and dad a really great Christmas gift for Christmas this year.

• Usually I have a really hard time trying to decide what to get for them because they really don’t need anything.

Sometimes I get them a trip or a weekend away, but this year they didn’t want to do any traveling because of the whole virus situation. So, instead of getting them something like that, I decided to do something that would make their home more comfortable since they are staying home a lot. I called up our local heating and cooling company and enrolled my parents in their heating and cooling maintenance program for the year. Apparently, this heating and cooling maintenance program is supposed to be the best one out there. Every three months, a certified HVAC technician comes out to their house and does any needed maintenance work on their furnace or their central air conditioning system. They also check the batteries in the thermostat and they change out the air filters. If there are any issues going on with my parents HVAC system, then the HVAC technician will fix it right away and they won’t even have to wait around for an appointment. Best of all, my dad won’t have to worry about fixing it himself and my mom won’t have to get mad if the A/C or the furnace isn’t working up to her standards. I think it’s probably the greatest Christmas gift that I have ever gotten either one of them! I might end up getting them the same exact thing next year!

The day before yesterday, there was a terrible sound coming from the furnace room down in the basement and then there was a weird clunking sound that came up through the heating vents when I turned the thermostat up.

I always try to fix my heating system myself whenever it tears up. I guess I have great confidence in myself for some reason. I honestly don’t know why that is, though. It’s not like I have ever been good at fixing things around the house! I guess I just really feel like I need to keep trying so that I can save money on our repair bills. However, I have found in the past that sometimes I end up tearing things up even worse than they were to begin with. I don’t really know if it’s the best thing for me to keep on trying or for me to just go ahead and call in the professionals at the very beginning when troubles come! Anyway, we have been having issues with our furnace here and there over the past few years and I’ve basically been putting bandaids on the furnace to keep it running. It doesn’t run the best that it could, but it seems to get the job done. Up until now, it’s gotten the job done, anyway. I really want to be able to get my dad a nice gift for his birthday this year.

He’s a hard person to buy for, that’s for sure.

He’s one of those guys that is constantly doing everything that needs to be done himself. He never wants to be in debt to anyone and he never waits around for things to tear up. He fixes things and does maintenance on them immediately because he firmly believes in being a good steward of everything that he owns. I like that about him, and I’ve honestly tried to pattern my own life after him for the most part. But let me tell you, whenever you want to buy my dad a gift, it makes it really hard! I decided that I was going to find something great for his birthday this year or die trying! I did a lot of lurking around his house and I finally found something that my dad had not quite gotten around to updating himself. I realized that the thermostat unit in my dad’s house was old and kind of outdated. It was the same thermostat that was in his house whenever he and my mom moved into that particular house almost fifteen years ago. I don’t know how the thermostat somehow missed being updated by my dad, but it turned out to be a good thing for me! When I saw that the thermostat was old and kind of worn out, I knew right away that this was what I was going to get for my dad for his birthday. I called up the local HVAC company and ordered a brand new smart thermostat system for him.

My Grandfatherrents adopted my siblings plus me when our parents passed away when the two of us were children.

Both of us had the best lives with our Grandfatherrents.

They lived in a 10acre piece of land with a lot of farm critters that the two of us would play with plus feed every day. Both of us went to a enjoyable school plus while the two of us were in summer, the two of us would go hunting plus have bone fires in the fields. Eventually, the two of us grew up plus moved out. I went to the neighboring village where I graduated as an Heating plus Air Conditioning tech plus started laboring in the heating industry. I would speak to my Grandfatherrents at least once every week. Last month when I spoke to them, granny had the flu plus she told me the house was cold. I knew they had a gas furnace plus so wondered why the house was cold. They had forgotten to run gas furnace service on the boiler for a few months now. I decided to head there plus help them out with their heat plus A/C products. The heating repair team evaluated on the gas furnace plus established that it was disfigured. Its efficiency had greatly reduced which resulted in uneven hot plus cold temperatures in the house thus, granny’s flu. After the Heating plus Air Conditioning service plan, the two of us decided that the most suitable electric heating idea would be the radiant floors. They would help even out the hot plus cold temperatures. It would need little to no service which was enjoyable owing to the forgetfulness of my Grandfatherrents. Compared to the gas furnace, this new component would be more efficient plus they would not need to keep replacing the gas furnace filters. Once the new component from the heating dealership delivered the system, the professionals got on with the gas furnace/heater installation. I got a wireless control component for my Grandfatherrents as it would be easy to use.

As dad was checking on the wireless temperature control, he noticed the radiant floors in the office.

Dad had worked in the heating industry for eternity. He went on to own one of the best plus most successful heating dealerships in town. Dad knew the ins plus outs of the heating market. His retirement party was something else. So various of his employees plus colleagues came to the party plus as much as they were distraught to see him leave, they were super proud of his achievement plus leadership. I had followed in dad’s footsteps plus become a heating service expert plus was laboring in the most successful companies in the state. Later that day after the celebrations were done, we sat with dad at the fireplace as he narrated his work to us. All of us called the sessions, war stories about heat plus A/C products, narrated by dad. There is one story that stood out. One time dad was in the office when a call came in from the nearby building. They needed HVAC techs to check on the boiler. When they got to the place, they were directed to where the gas furnace was. The building was a tile store. They started with the gas furnace service plus as soon as they started, the owner of the store-bought us some hot cocoa. This was such a kind gesture. As dad was checking on the wireless temperature control, he noticed the radiant floors in the office. The owner invited dad to the office plus as dad changed the oil furnace filter, the owner told him about the oil furnace/heater replacement of the sizzling floors. He was such a jolly man. Once dad’s team was done with the HVAC repair plan on the electric furnace, the factory owner bought them a fully packed dinner. From then on, they became such wonderful friends.
