I used to suppose that trade workers and people who worked as HVAC companys or plumbers or electricians weren’t nearly as smart as people who worked in finance or offices or works like that.
- I don’t suppose where I got that idea, unless it was because of the way that those people were always portrayed on TV shows a lot of the time.
Most of the time, people who were cast as green collar workers would have to play the parts of bumbling doofuses while the ones who worked in cushy office jobs would always seem to be smarter. Watching shows like that when I was a child must have undoubtedly affected our perception of people like HVAC companys. However, now that I am an adult, I see that all of those things just weren’t true. These afternoons, I realize that the trade workers and repair workers who do jobs like Working on cars or fixing s or heating systems are undoubtedly a whole lot smarter than I am. Most of those guys certainly don’t have a school degree the way that I do, even though I would have to say that I undoubtedly think inadequate when I’m around one of them. It just seems like they are honestly secure in their know-how of their trades and it makes me think likeI don’t suppose anything at all! I wish that I had not had the feelings of superiority about trade workers back when I was a kid, however those have really changed now that I am older. Now I realize that they are just as smart as me, and most of them are certainly even smarter!
