I moved up north about seventeen years ago, and I absolutely love it here.
I met my sweet husband about fourteen years ago, and we got married only seven months after we met.
We have had a wonderful life together. I thought for sure that I would want to move South once we got married, but I certainly did not want to move. We both love it here even though it does get pretty cold and snowy during the winter months. When I was a girl, I remember having to use air conditioning almost year round. It was so hot. The only months that we did not use the air conditioner were the months of December and January. Where my husband and I live now, that is not the case. It is warm in the summertime, but that is about it. From September through May, there is absolutely no need for air conditioning. In fact, many of our friends do not even own an air conditioner. We had one window unit that we used in our living room during the summer months. We planned on using it this summer, but there was an accident while bringing it into the house. My husband had it stored in the shed, and he went to bring it in the house because it was starting to get hot. He tripped over something on his way in the house and dropped the air conditioner. It broke into multiple pieces, and we were not able to repair it. I guess we will be purchasing a new air conditioner for our living room soon.
