Why on earth are hospitals so cold?

From what I hear, I guess that they say that they have a reason for setting the temperature control to a colder temperature.

I am one of many when I say that I absolutely despise going to the hospital. I know it’s a little weird for someone to like the hospitals, but it’s something that I have hated for my entire life. My reasons for not wanting to go to the hospital are many. I do not care about doctors. I do not care about medicine. And I certainly don’t want anyone coming near me with a needle! The list could go on and on. The only time that you will ever find me in the hospital is when I am at death’s door, but another reason that I do not care about going to the hospital is because of the temperature control. I have trouble understanding the way the hospital uses its HVAC units. I understand that hospitals are immense buildings, and they have a lot of HVAC units in order to keep the entire building comfortable. They have the best oil furnaces and the best central air conditioners, however they cannot manage to ever keep the temperature control set to a temperature that is comfortable for the people who are in the hospital. I have never been to a hospital that wasn’t chilly. Regardless of whether or not they are using the oil furnace or the central air conditioner, the temperature at the hospital regularly feels cold. From what I hear, I guess that they say that they have a reason for setting the temperature control to a colder temperature. They say that it is healthier for all the people to have the temperature cool at the hospital. I don’t see how it can be beneficial to make a bunch of sick people sit in their beds feeling cold. I already have a bit of an unusual phobia when it comes to going to the hospital, so having to live with the colder temperatures is just the icing on the cake. They need to change the temperature control so that they make it just slightly warmer.
