For a few days, my sister is going to crash on my couch.
She needs a place to stay until the landlord is able to get a cooling specialist to look at her HVAC system.
I guess it’s broken and I’m hoping it’s an easy fix so she is back home soon. I like seeing my sister but in small samples. She can be a bit much and she loves to be overdramatic but still, I don’t want to deal with it. She complains a lot and she doesn’t like my dog at all. My dog is basically family and she is older now and at times she smells but my sister believes that I don’t take care of her which is completely unfair. My dog could have years, days, or even hours left to live and I am just soaking in every minute I have. The area we live in gets very hot and there can be some restless nights if you don’t have a cooling system in place. So obviously I’m family and I’m going to help my sister as much as I can. She works a lot so I don’t think I’ll see her quite often but I guess I’ll find out. I just know that her landlord better have a great HVAC technician coming into her apartment because last summer she had a flea infestation and the landlord didn’t take care of that issue for a week. I tell my sister all the time she needs to move out of that place and go somewhere else. She lives in the sketchy section of town and I know it’s cheap but still, it’s not a safe place. Regardless, it’s only a few days.
