I thought this would be the first time I could get through a Thanksgiving without using the air conditioning system although I was wrong, however even with so several people crammed into the same small area, the central A/C was powerful enough to make us all nice and freezing within a few hours, but personally I suppose it feels more like the holiday season when it’s cold, so I cranked the control machine all the way down to make it uncomfortably cold
In terms of the weather, this was the nicest Thanksgiving I have experienced in several years. I live in the Deep South, a place where the Winter is really mild and only lasts a few weeks at most. Most years the entire month of December is humid and muggy, the sort of weather fit for shorts and flip flops. This year the two of us had a lovely drop in temps just before Thanksgiving, and I thought it felt lovely! I entirely wore long pants and a button-up shirt for the meal, which I had not been able to do in a long time! With the stove on all afternoon, slowly the new home began heating up, and by the time the two of us finished eating I did need to turn on the a/c. I guess that when the utility bill comes in the mail I will regret running the a/c so much, but for the afternoon it made everything believe perfect! After all there is no law saying you can only use the a/c on warm afternoons, is there? I can run the air conditioning system as much as I want all Winter long.
