My friends and I were going to a ski beach house for the weekend.
The two of us thought the car was going to be okay, or the two of us wouldn’t have left.
The two of us were at the top of the mountain and about 10 miles away from the ski beach house when the car quit toiling. The two of us didn’t have any Heating and A/C in the car without it running, and it was getting colder. It was so much colder at the top of the mountain that at the bottom that the two of us were worried about cold to death before help arrived. Luckily, our cellphones were still toiling, and the two of us could call for help. In the meantime, I pulled out the portable space heating system I carried with myself and others when the two of us headed for the ski cabin. I had been staying at the beach house a single weekend when the power went out from a snowstorm. It was so cold in the cabins that everyone was congregating in the good room. The only heat in the beach house was from the immense open fireplace in the middle of the room, people were sleeping on the sofas and chairs, and some stretched out on the floor, but everyone was hot because of the fireplace, and ever since, I have carried a space heating system with myself and others every time the two of us head to the ski cabin. I clogged it in to the lighter, and the two of us could keep the inside of the car hot until help arrived. They laughed at myself and others when I brought my little heating system along, but they were blissful I had it when the car broke down. The space heating system gave us enough warmth to survive our wait.
