When my boyfriend said the two of us were going to go on a hike, I wanted to bring my space heating system with me.
I thought that if the two of us got stranded on the mountain, the two of us would have some heat with the space heater, since it got cold at night, in the mountains. He laughed and told myself and others no a single was bringing portable space heaters. He had a small tent the two of us could stay in, and the two of us would keep each other warm. I wasn’t buying it and packed the space heating system however he said no. The two of us headed out early in the day and the two of us didn’t reach the top of the mountain until early day. My boyfriend’s buddy and his lady had planned on spending the night on the mountain, however I was not. I didn’t care about not sleeping where there were no beds. If it was an emergency, that was a single thing. Hiking and planning on staying was another thing. The two of us had plenty of time to rest, get something to eat, and head back down the mountain. The return trip was consistently easier and faster than the hike up the mountain. They finally convinced my boyfriend to spend the night on the mountain. I pulled out my space heating system when it started getting dark… An hour later, my boyfriend’s buddy’s lady was asking if she could join myself and others in the tent. The men slept in the other tent while the two of us appreciated the heat of the space heater. Next time we’re staying home, and the men will go without us.
