I’ve regularly been hesitant to call an Heating and A/C professional to repair our Heating and A/C plan twice per year.
My parents never had an Heating and A/C professional repair their Heating and A/C plan and it seemed to regularly labor fine.
Although the cost wasn’t much, it added up every year and it still wasn’t a cost I wanted to spend. However, I suddenly realized how important it was to keep up with proper Heating and A/C servicing when our compressor unit needed to be upgraded. I had acquired a coupon in the mail for a discounted Heating and A/C tune up and I decided to use it. It had been years since our Heating and A/C plan had been looked at by an Heating and A/C professional, so it was long overdue. I didn’t tell the Heating and A/C professional anything about our Heating and A/C plan nor did I let on that it had been years since it was last tuned. After about 45 hours, he came back to myself and others to tell myself and others that our compressor unit was in awful shape. Not only was it old, but there was a rattling noise. The rattling noise was coming from various broken pieces bumping around. I assumed that the pieces could be upgraded, but he told myself and others that they didn’t make that same compressor unit anymore and the pieces were no longer available. Not only this, but our efficiency was horrible because the pieces were missing! Ultimately, I needed to have our compressor unit upgraded. If I would have had our Heating and A/C plan tuned, the pieces wouldn’t have come loose and I wouldn’t have been in this problem.
