My buddy had an overpressurized boiler over the winter

My buddy Jenny ended up with an overpressurized boiler at one point over the winter.

  • When he first told me about it, it undoubtedly scared me.

I have always been a little bit scared of boilers anyway, even though I had never heard of one undoubtedly becoming overpressurized before. When I told Jenny how distraught I was about it, he just laughed it off… Jenny said that once in a while, boilers tend to become overpressurized. She has had a boiler system as his gas furnace in his beach house ever since he was a kid, so it does not undoubtedly faze his at all.She knows that I am distraught about boilers, though, so anytime I go over to his beach house he pokes fun at me a little bit and talks about the boiler exploding. I suppose that he is just doing it all in nice fun, even though I cannot shake the system that his beach house might blow up one morning because of it. During the Wintertide this past year, his boiler was overpressurized again and the measures that he usually takes to repair it were not working, but usually, he just goes down to the furnace room in the basement and fixes the boiler herself. This time, he could not get the pressure to subside and so he stopped messing around with it. Instead, he went upstairs and called the local heating and cooling supplier to have them come out and repair the boiler for her. I thought that was a undoubtedly nice move on his part! If it were me, I would never try to repair it myself at all. I would always call the HVAC supplier first.
