Finally getting help on my weight loss

When I was a young boy, my mom worked all of the time.

I came home from school and I was usually alone until the late night hours.

It was up to me to make something for dinner. I was 12 years old and I knew how to use the microwave. I made a lot of frozen meals like chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and fish sticks. Before I started the 9th grade and high school, I was 300 lbs. The school doctor was anxious about my health. She told my mom that I truly needed more exercise. My mom was truly irritated when the doctor commanded that she was not doing a very nice job with her parenting. Instead of taking the advice to heart and getting me some help, my mom took me out for ice cream and told me that the doctor was crazy. By the time I started college, I had a number of health issues. Being overweight causes a lot of health problems with your heart, blood pressure, and circulatory system. My college advisor set me up with a nutritionist at the university health center. The nutritionist helped me come up with a day to day exercise plan that would help me lose weight. The yearly exercise plan included walking, light cardio, and stretching. None of the exercises were tough to do. The people at that health center also gave me a booklet that included all of the foods that were healthy to eat. The man in the health office suggested to me to get a personal trainer.
