Last Sunday, I had a dentist’s appointment, so I missed the first space of the afternoon from work. My appointment was at 9:00am, so I planned on getting to job around 11:00am, and then job through supper to make up the hours, but while completing our paperwork at the dentist’s office, I got a text from our boss; The message said that the air conditioner had broken down, and the workers were at the office trying to get the system back up and running; however, I was not cheerful about that news because I had to submit a idea that afternoon. And I had a meeting in the afternoon that I could not miss, but I didn’t want to work in the building because if the air conditioner wasn’t fixed by the afternoon, the office would be uncomfortable to operate in. Well, I did the only thing that made sense for me, and I asked our boss if I could just do my job from home. Thankfully, our boss is flexible when it comes to allowing his employees to job from home. His only concern was the meeting in the afternoon, and I told him that I would log on via Zoom. He was fantastic with that, and I told him that I would have the idea submitted prior to that… So, I left from our dentist’s office, and headed home to finish the afternoon in our living room that has a comfortable air conditioner. The air conditioner was fixed the next afternoon and I was back in the office, despite the fact that I am blissful that I was able to finish the afternoon at home with the air conditioner.
