A quick HVAC change leads to better air quality

I feel like I’ve spent more time inside the air conditioning of my house the past two years than I ever have.

Of course, that has everything to do with the pandemic.

Unfortunately for me, I have the double whammy when it comes to Covid. I live in a region where transmission was simply off the charts as nobody wore masks and didn’t get vaccinated. Then to add to that mix, I have a genetic health condition that would put me at risk for the worst that the virus has to offer. So I stayed home in the air conditioning. When the office with the zone controlled HVAC reopened, I stayed home in my own air conditioning. I got all the vaccines and shopped when the store opened. I haven’t seen the inside of a restaurant in two years. But the doctor straight told me that’s what I had to do. She also encouraged me to get more fit and do what I could to strengthen my immune response. I did just that as I continued to live and work inside the air conditioning of my home. Then it dawned on me. I could improve the indoor air quality to further strengthen my immune response and add to my overall health. The air purifiers were a bit out of my price range. But switching to a HEPA filter was right in my wheelhouse. And it has made a tremendous difference when it comes to the indoor air quality of my home. I’m in better health too which helps me feel a bit more confident as I eye going back to the office and engaging in a few more activities outside the air conditioning of my home.
