The idea of sabotaging the HVAC unit came to me in a dream one night.
And that really sort of shook me.
I think it was the subconscious acknowledgment that I was actively wanting and HVAC equipment upgrade. Still, the very idea that I would ruin something that was still working to get something new was just not acceptable. But apparently, it was sure on my mind. And there had been a couple of occasions where I almost didn’t call for the HVAC maintenance. I sort of figured I could save the money and hasten the demise of the old HVAC. But again, I felt like a total heel for just having the thought. That old HVAC equipment was like the energizer bunny, it just kept going. And I was thankful for that in a way. I didn’t have to lay out for the cost of new HVAC equipment. But at the same time, that old HVAC unit was pretty inefficient and wasn’t all that great anymore in extreme heat. And we get plenty of extreme heat. So when the HVAC technician let me know that they HVAC unit was not going to be around much longer, I was at the HVAC company that week. I’m so excited to have this new equipment coming. It’s the very latest in residential HVAC and it has all the HVAC technology that I’ve been longing for. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. But I have to salute the old HVAC as it went far longer than I ever anticipated.
