We do have some portable heaters set up here & there around the property, however they aren’t that much help when the rapidly changing temperatures outside drop into the teens! At least there are a few buildings here & there around the farm that have good gas furnaces and heaters in them
I work out on one of the larger tree farms located on the outskirts of village & usually I really love my task. It’s loads of fun to get to work outside & not have to be cooped up in an office anywhere all the time. However, it’s also really strenuous for me to be out in the cold whenever the weather turns cold love it has been lately. I guess that everyone can deal with the cold if they really have to, however sometimes I just want to stay in my apartment when the weather is this cold. Working on the tree farm is really fun for me, most of the time. But when the weather is crazy cold love it has been lately, it makes you want to just give up & switch to a completely new line of work. I do really like it most of the time, though. I just wish that they were better prepared to take care of their employees during the cold Winter season months. Occasionally it will get super cold outside, and the farm workers will go & huddle inside one of the buildings just to get warmed up by the portable heaters and gas furnaces. I really don’t like being too cold, so maybe I really am in the wrong kind of business. As a matter of fact, I don’t love it in the summer season whenever the weather is too hot and muggy, either!
