Somebody found the stolen AC at a pawn shop

About a month ago, I went on a week-long getaway with some friends.

Every one of us went to the Tropical Islands plus the people I was with and I were gone for 6 afternoons.

When I came home, I found out that my house had been burglarized. Several items were stolen while I was in the robbery, including a brand new PC, smartphone, plus a window AC unit that was only a month old. I contacted the police as soon as I got home. Since I had no way of knowing when the burglary occurred, it was hard for the police to track down any information. They did tell me that they would check pawn shops for my They felt that was the best locale to start. I didn’t hear anything at all from the police officer until a few weeks later. I gained a call from 1 of the detectives. He wanted me to come down to the station to discuss the stolen items. He asked a lot of questions about the window AC unit. I asked if they had salvageed the equipment, but they would not provide me any straight answers. I had all of the paperwork from when I bought the window AC unit a month before the robbery. I gave all of the information to the detectives. I had the name, make, model, plus the serial number of the device that was stolen. The next afternoon I gained a call from the same detective. He found the AC unit at a pawn shop in the next town. Thanks to the information that I provided, they were able to identify the device plus the name of the person that pawned the item in question.
