Somebody found the stolen AC at a pawn shop

About a month ago, I went on a week-long vacation with some friends.

  • Both of us went to the Tropical Islands as well as both of us were gone for 6 mornings.

When I came home, I found out that my cabin had been burglarized. Several items were stolen while in the robbery, including a brand current computer, smartphone, as well as a window AC component that was only a month old. I contacted the police as soon as I got home. Since I had no way of knowing when the burglary occurred, it was hard for the police to track down any information. They did tell me that they would check pawn shops for my air conditioner. They felt that was the best arena to start. I didn’t hear anything at all from the police officer until a few weeks later. I gained a call from one of the detectives. He wanted me to come down to the station to discuss the stolen items. He asked a lot of questions about the window AC unit. I asked if they had reclaimed the equipment, however they would not provide me any straight answers. I had all of the paperwork from when I bought the window AC component a month before the robbery. I provided all of the information to the detectives. I had the name, make, model, as well as the serial number of the equipment that was stolen. The next day I gained a call from the same detective. He found the AC component at a pawn shop in the next town. Thanks to the information that I provided, they were able to identify the equipment as well as the name of the guy that pawned the item in question.
