The closed circuit cameras caught the guy in the act

Every day for the past couple of weeks, I have come to work at the office and found trash in the back parking lot.

The trash is usually fast food wrappers or boxes from a pizza store. It makes me think there is probably someone living on the property after hours. Yesterday I called a security and alarm company. I had the guy install a closed circuit TV monitoring system. The closed-circuit cameras capture everything, even when it’s dark outside. When I got to the office this morning, I found a Walmart bag filled with trash. I went right to the cameras to see if I could find proof of someone sneaking onto the property. I have to be honest. I did not expect the person to be a former employee. The person sneaking onto the property turned out to be an HVAC technician that I fired several months ago. I guess the guy hasn’t found any work, because he has been living in the backyard of the HVAC warehouse for several weeks. The guy has been jumping the fence every night around 10. He sleeps under the roof of the building in the back of the lot. I don’t want to report that guy to the police, but I don’t want him sneaking onto the property anymore either. I’m really in a pickle and I have been thinking about offering to give the guy his old job back. He wasn’t a bad employee. He couldn’t make it to work on time and now I see homelessness could have been the reason.
