Both my sister and I bought houses during the same year, but they had similar size and features.
The only thing that was different between the two of the houses was the age of them.
My house was older, but it had been completely renovated. Surprisingly, we found out that although the houses were peculiar in age, the HVAC systems were the same model and age. We discovered this during apartment inspections. I’m someone who believes in having HVAC systems inspected at least twice per year, especially while in the transitioning seasons. HVAC systems are costly, so it’s important to take care of them so they run efficiently and have a long lifespan. I was explaining this to my sibling one day, buts she thought that I was wasting my money. According to her, she said that if there wasn’t anything wrong with his HVAC system, she wasn’t going to spend money someone to tell her that. I tried to explain how HVAC professionals are trained to find issues and repair HVAC equipment, but she thought that concept was ridiculous. What’s interesting though, is that my sibling has twice as many issues with her HVAC method than I do. I spend money on the HVAC business twice per year to come repair my system and that’s it. My sibling pays the HVAC business to come repair or look at something at least twice a year as well, but she spends more on repairs and labor than I do. One day she’ll realize her foolishness.
