I thought the furnace was marking its territory.

My husband went downstairs last week because it was time to change the air filters in the furnace.

He came upstairs laughing, because he said the furnace was marking its territory.

I looked at him with concern, and that’s when he realized what he said. We both went downstairs, and there was oil coming out of the connector that went from the oil tank to the furnace. I called the HVAC company and asked them to look at the furnace and the oil connector. The woman who answered the phone said it looked like a simple fix and asked if I minded if they sent a new HVAC technician to the house. I asked my husband if he minded if they sent a new HVAC technician to the house, and he said he didn’t care. He just wanted them to send the HVAC technician to the house as soon as possible. The next morning, there was an HVAC technician knocking on the door. He said he was there to work on the furnace and showed us his new ID badge. He looked at the furnace and said he didn’t know what to do when the problem was with an oil connector. He just learned how to work on the furnace. My husband took a deep breath and grabbed the kids’ tools. He pulled out a wrench and tried to tighten the connector, but it wasn’t working. He called the HVAC company and asked if he needed an HVAC technician for a pipe connection, or should he call a plumber. They sent a seasoned HVAC technician to the house.
