My girlfriend and I have been searching for an apartment in the inner city for about 2 weeks now. It hasn’t really been much of a journey but we want the perfect place but also a place that is in our price range. We wouldn’t mind spending a little more if we found a place that offered more than what an apartment would provide. We looked at 6 places and we were pretty much done and were going to pick a place we were not exactly satisfied with but the market wasn’t great on apartments, but we looked at one more which was available last minute, the 7th apartment. In the worst case, we had a place ready for us. Lucky number 7, this place was amazing from the get go. The view was great, it was within walking distance from a lot of the restaurants and the landlord actually did a lot of renovation to the apartment. He updated the windows, flooring and put in a new HVAC system! He has receipts of what the HVAC system that the heating and cooling technician did from the HVAC company. The cool thing is that he installed a smart thermostat. I could control the heating and cooling from my phone which is pretty neat. He really impressed my girlfriend and I and the price range was a little higher than we liked but we couldn’t turn down this opportunity. So I asked him, “where do we sign.” He smiled knowing he did a great job with the apartment and said, “it only took the first people to look at it to already want it.”
