After my dad died, mom spent numerous years mourning his loss and staying stuck in her family room! Ten years later, she decided she would never quit affectionate him, but it was time to do some travelling, she wanted to spend time with all of her grandchildren and children who had scattered all around the United States.
She called me one afternoon and asked if I would like to go apartment shopping with her, then when she said she was going to do some travelling, I thought it was a fine idea, i didn’t expect for her to want me to go apartment shopping with her.
We stopped at numerous sites that were selling travel trailers, but she wasn’t cheerful with them. We finally went to a center that sold cottages. She asked the salesperson if they sold tiny homes. She wanted an affordable tiny home that she could take with her when she travelled. She didn’t enjoy spending the evening in unusual beds. If she could take her bed with her, as an affordable tiny home, she was all for it. We looked at numerous tiny homes, but she wasn’t cheerful with them. She saw one that had a small front porch and there were no steps inside. It cost a bit more than she wanted to pay, but she thought it was perfect. They added in the Heating as well as A/C system and the furniture as part of the price of the portable tiny home. I’m not sure how she planned on pulling it to her destinations, even though I was sure she had something planned or she would not have bought a portable tiny home.
