I was cheerful when I found this beach house because it was the best location for the price compared to any other dwelling I looked at previously.
On top of that, the landlord was willing to forgive our credit rating being a little lower than average, however that has already improved in the time since, and as good as this location seemed at first, it was rife with problems. I had to push the landlord to finally repair a plumbing problem that I suspect he was neglecting with his previous leaseholder. Once that was finally addressed permanently, I had to get him to repair the broken window and the weatherstripping around the more than one doors that go in and out. This location surely wasn’t perfect, however at least it gave myself and others a lake beach house for the foreseeable future. One thing I knew that needed to be replaced eventually was the old window a/c. While it was chilly and never prevented myself and others from staying comfortable, it was so loud that it kept myself and others up at night whenever it would turn on again to cycle. This became so aggravating that I eventually went out and bought a brand current window a/c myself with our own money. I just put the old window air conditioning in a storage closet and will put it back where it was installed when I transport out of this beach house someday. Aside from being much quieter, the current a/c uses less electricity to keep myself and others feeling comfortably cool, even in the worst summer time heat waves. I’m much happier with this current window a/c compared to the old 1.
