My wife and I decided to rent a place to spend a week of vacation.
We took all four of our kids on the trip.
The vacation rental was cheaper than some of the other properties listed online. I rented the place before I looked at all of the reviews. A couple of days after I got all of the paperwork, my wife asked if I looked at any of the online reviews and that’s when I decided to check on things. The reviews on the vacation rental were mixed. If I had read the reviews before I made the choice, I might have selected a different place. Most of the people complained about the parking and a couple of people complained about the amenities inside of the house. One thing that people complained about was the fact that the fireplace was electric and not wood. We didn’t mind if the fireplace was electric or wood. Honestly, the fireplace wasn’t even a big deal to either one of us or the kids. When we got to the rental house, I understood why everyone was complaining about the parking. We had to park on the side of the hill and use our emergency brake. It was a very strange place for a parking spot and I was nervous that the car was going to start rolling down the hill and up in the trees and woods below. My wife and I had a great time with the kids and we managed to hike in the woods behind the rental. We even used the electric fireplace one or two nights. I thought it was a really nice place to spend time.
