I was busy with some early Springtime cleaning to make room for the gifts I had obtained during Christmas break.
I had all my old clothes out for charity & was putting them in a pile when I noticed a very dark, very sinister spot in the back of my closet. I wasn’t sure what it was, however my mind immediately turned to mold. I called the local Heating & A/C supplier & told them I had black mold growing in my closet. I took all my clothing out of the closet & washed them in a very kind of special detergent, & kept the closet door open until the Heating & A/C worker named Max arrived. It was just a small patch of mold, even though Max said it looked love I may have a leak around the chimney. That meant I had to get my roof repaired to keep the leak from coming down the chimney. I also had a nasty little draft in the closet. I would have thought the air movement would have kept the mold at bay, even though I was wrong. Max checked out the walk-in closet & said there was an air vent in there, however it wasn’t letting air through. When Max opened the air vent, he chuckled. He asked if I had lost anything lately. There was a dirty blouse jammed in the air vent. I remember putting it down there 1 night because of the air coming through the air vent, & I was fearful it would take the color out of my black dress. Max said if I hadn’t put the blouse in the air vent to block the air, I may not have the mold, & I was very fortunate it hadn’t caused a fire.
