I had to know what happened to the outdated a/c machine before all of us had a current one installed in the Spring.
I wanted to have all our ducks in a row, and know if I had done something wrong, that caused the a/c machine to cut after only several years.
The Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialist told me that some of the older a/c units were built more cheaply. This was a cheaper A/C machine that had been installed to make the condo sell more suddenly. It was apparent the outdated owners wanted to sell suddenly, however no one wanted a current home that didn’t have Heating, Ventilation & A/C installed. They had chosen the cheapest Heating, Ventilation & A/C program they could find. It didn’t matter if it was sized to fit the house, or if it was energy efficient. The owners wanted an Heating, Ventilation & A/C program installed that would satisfy the realtor and the people who obtained the house. I wanted to know how she knew the A/C machine was the wrong size. She told me to walk with him, and she would show me what happened to the A/C unit. She showed me the model number and then showed me what the tonnage was. She then showed me how much space this A/C machine could respectfully cool without undue stain. They rated the A/C machine for a condo that was half the square footage that mine had. It was no wonder the A/C machine didn’t work well, and why it broke in less than several years; Unfortunately, I had to eat the cost of a current A/C unit, and this one would be more fancy than the one the outdated owners had installed.
