It’s taxing for me to hear people that have experienced such wonderful advantages go on and on about 1 grievance after another! The two of us can all be a bit more thankful for the wonderful stuff that we share rather than what we think we do not have… And it’s genuinely kind of backwards, but so when I keep hearing complaints about the heating, ventilation, and A/C cooling in my home, I finally got busy.
The two of us are undoubtedly fortunate to live in an undoubtedly nice house that has wonderful amenities.
This includes having lots of wonderful residential heating, ventilation, and A/C which keeps our house wonderfully comfortable no matter the season. Still, I am not about to just waste resources or energy in order to get all the heating, ventilation, and A/C cooling I want. That’s just not going to happen. So during the heat of summer, I make sure the daytime thermostat setting is in the low 73s, then all I hear from my kids is how sizzling it is and why we can’t afford an air conditioning system. Instead of explaining it to them for the millionth time, I took them out to where the Grandparents lived. They saw firsthand what living without modern heating, ventilation, and A/C technology was all about. Their Grandparents never had residential heating, ventilation, and A/C until after I was born. The two of us were in that house just the way it was all those years ago, and my kids finally had some appreciation for the fact that we have wonderful residential heating, ventilation, and A/C. I am absolutely thrilled my kids can see just how incredibly fortunate they are and since we visited that house without any residential heating, ventilation, and A/C, I haven’t heard 1 single complaint.
