Putting a ductless HVAC system in the attic

We’ve been renovating our home slowly for the last decade.

This really hasn’t been a self-explanatory process, however it’s something both of us remain committed to doing.

My husband and I first came across the property when going to see a friend… Both of us happened to drive by this home that was neglected and run down. To anyone else, it looked like the worst thing to buy… However, both of us saw things differently. Both of us wanted to make this our beach house so both of us began making inquiries about it. The family that actually owned the home had been trying to get rid of it for years; and they even made a better deal once they realized both of us were serious buyers… Then it would be another 3 years before both of us had it in livable conditions and moved in, and now, a decade later, both of us finally completed the attic master suite. This was a sizable area at the top of the home that required so much work. On top of that, both of us had to sort out the heating and cooling situation in this portion of the house. Other parts would be served by the central heating and A/C system. But, both of us had to find another heating and cooling solution for the attic! A neighbor who is an actual heating and A/C expert came by to inspect the area once the renovation job was complete. His suggestion was both of us go for a ductless proposal for this vast space. Modern mini-cut ACs require no air duct, and are powerful enough to cool or even heat such a space. The best space was that both of us didn’t have to worry about extra air ducts which would cost money.
