I have been using a furnace at my house for 5 years and I care about it.
The only area I do not like or look forward to is how often a single has to do the heating repairs especially if the plan is aged.
It is quite simple to operate and once you get the hang of it, running furnace service becomes some sort of muscle memory. The unit has served me through certainly cold winters through which I managed to remain comfortable. When my boiler stopped working in the middle of a certainly cold winter, I decided to change it to a better electric gas furnace. I had just gotten back from the hospital where I was treated for the flu, a drastic case of it… Upon getting home, I find that my heat and AC product is not working. The wireless thermostat was working however I could not get it to switch on the gas furnace. I ended up using my portable gas furnace to help me improve the indoor comfort for the night. The first thing the following morning, I called the heating dealership to send over an Heating plus A/C tech to help service the issue. The gas furnace filter was filthy and the heat exchanger was covered in rust. I replaced the gas furnace with the new unit in the heating industry, the radiant heated floors. The gas furnace/heater replacement took almost the entire day. The reason behind my decision was that I did not need an Heating plus A/C service plan. The indoor comfort it gave was also out of this world. This new plan is also said to last longer than most products in the market.
