Yesterday was an interesting day.
I was taking my kids to the playground for some fun.
While I watched them have fun on the playground, I noticed that it was a pretty hot day, and I regretted sitting in the sun. But the parking lot where I parked my car was already filled with cars, and I didn’t want to move away from my car, so I was stuck. It didn’t help that there were only two benches, both of which were in the sun. Even though I was happy to see my kids having a great time, I was quite bored myself. That is when a man walked up and sat down next to me and we started having a casual conversation. I talked about the intense heat, and the guy told me he was a HVAC worker, and he deals with heating and cooling all of the time. He told me about his job and what the work of an A/C technician looked like. I found it to be interesting. I also learned that he was a single dad, and I was related to being a single parent and the struggles that came with it. We ended up hitting it off and exchanging numbers. By then, the kids were done with playing and ready to go home. I was happy to get back in my car, and as I turned on the air conditioning I thought of the cooling serviceman. I hope I can see him again soon.
