This was the year that I finally said that I either give this lifestyle a try or walk away from even considering it.
I’ve spent most of my life inside the central air conditioning of a home or an apartment.
Although, there was a time where I chose to leave the country and travel for about a year. It was a great year and I bet I could count on both hands the number of times I enjoyed and sort of HVAC. It’s not that there wasn’t any. But places like that with commercial or residential HVAC just weren’t in my budget. Nearly the entire year, I was outside of any sort of heating and cooling living in my tent. Well, I guess you could maybe call a campfire heating. Although that gotta be the most inefficient heater ever. Now, I’m in my 50’s and am getting a bit tired of the central air conditioning again. This time, I want to maybe just stretch one more time. Could I trade the central air conditioning of my condo for the bed of my truck or maybe a trailer? That’s a big shift in more ways that just residential HVAC concerns. Yet, there is this longing in me to just get out and live this way. I have the sort of job that all I really need is a wifi signal. And those aren’t too tough to find. So heading off is something that I think I either need to do now or just put it out of my mind. I’m not getting any younger and I’d love to feel that sort of freedom anxiety and ease once more.
