My birthday is next month and the only thing that I can think of that I really want is a new thermostat.
- I realize that this probably sounds like the craziest idea for a birthday present that you could possibly think of, but it’s actually something that I really need in my house.
I have been thinking about getting a new thermostat for a while now because my old thermostat keeps going on the blink. I think that it’s really costing me a lot of money on my heating and cooling bills because the thermostat just isn’t working properly. I read somewhere the other day on an HVAC blog That your thermostat unit is actually the brains behind your home’s heating, cooling, and ventilation system. I guess that just really makes sense when you think about it. And then again, if your HVAC systems brain isn’t working correctly, then of course you are going to have higher heating and cooling bills than you normally would. Anyway, after I read that article on the HVAC blog, I decided right then and there that I was going to get a new thermostat unit somehow or another. I don’t have the money right now to pay for any sort of house upgrades, but every year on my birthday, my parents still give me a really great gift. Usually, they try to give me a trip or something like that, but this year I’m going to ask him for a new smart thermostat system for my house. I’m their only child, and so even though I am a grown adult, they still spoil me somewhat.
