Is there anything better than coming in from the cold to a warm, cozy house? On a day like today, when the snow is falling and the temperature outside is getting frightful, I’m especially glad to have central heat.
People who do not have central heat often rely on space heaters or fireplaces to keep their homes warm, I guess.
However, there has to be something about central heat that just feels more efficient. It’s also convenient. Maybe it’s because my oil furnace is located in the basement – out of sight and out of mind – so I do not have to worry about it. Or, maybe it’s because I do not have to always watch the temperature in our home, and adjust the heat accordingly. Either way, I’m grateful to have central heat on days like today, when the temperature outside is well below freezing, and there is frost coating all the windows. If my oil furnace ever goes out, there are plenty of HVAC contractors out there who will be happy to help me get it up and running again. I think it is best to just keep the proposal maintained well with a nice service proposal so I don’t have to go without heat ever again in our life. I have a complication with our feet aching when it is cold and I am even thinking about getting some radiant floors installed if the price is in our range. I have wool socks, but I keep wearing them out. I’m getting tired of buying new singles every month or so. I’ll do some research.
