My cousin thought she should take up beekeeping, and she said the bees would be wonderful for the local vegetation plus she could sell the honey! I knew it was a wonderful idea to keep honey bees, although I wasn’t sure our cousin was the right woman to take on this venture. She hadn’t bought the beekeeper’s suit, or the smoker, but someone had given him the beehives. She thought that if she cleaned the beehives, the bees would automatically come to the hives. She had welts all over her body from bee stings.
