Stress and Anxiety Due to Old Furnace

I’ve been enjoying the cool air from my air conditioner all summer long.

My air conditioner was replaced two years ago, so it’s still in great shape and cooling my home efficiently.

I love knowing that my air conditioner is reliable and it’s going to keep my house cool. I wish I could say the same about my furnace, but that’s not the case. My furnace is well over a decade old and it’s on its way out. I couldn’t’ afford to replace both my air conditioner and my furnace at the same time, which is why it’s so old and my air conditioner isn’t. My HVAC professional urged me to replace my furnace at the end of winter so it would be ready for the following fall, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Now, I’m regretting that decision. I’ve been enjoying the peace that came with knowing my air conditioner wouldn’t give out on me at any moment, but that bubble is going to burst when I start using my furnace again. The furnace is old and inefficient, and there’s always the chance that it will stop working for good. I’m thinking about replacing the furnace soon with the hope that it will be cheaper during the summer months, but I haven’t seen any sales. A new furnace will cost thousands of dollars, but it could be worth it. I should have listened to my HVAC professional about replacing it last year. Then, I wouldn’t have all this stress and anxiety.
