Is there really only 3 types of AC appliances?

I am genuinely trying to figure this out… How many types of AC appliances are there? Not long ago, I wrote a post explaining the amount of different furnaces there are for people to pick from.

Since I spent a lot of time posting about the various styles of heating appliances in my last post, I won’t take any more time at this point trying to explain all the unusual types of heating appliances.

However, after coming to realize that there were so many interesting types of furnaces, I began trying to figure out all the types of ACs. At this point, I can only consider a few types of AC appliances, & I think that there have to be more. Still, I might be wrong, & that is why I have the wish to ask you. The first AC appliance that I can think of happens to be a central AC appliance. A central AC is pretty much the gas furnace of the AC world. Your central AC appliance can cool your entire dwelling, & your central AC appliance certainly can connect to your vents! Central AC appliances might be the most overpriced category of AC on the list, but they are truly nice to have. The technology has become so much cheaper and central ACs are pretty affordable these days. For those who cannot afford a central AC appliance or do not have permission to install a central AC appliance, the other alternative is a window AC. These ACs pretty much sit in your window & respectfully cool a single room. They are completely affordable & easy to use, but they don’t look so amazing. The very last AC appliance I can think of is an in-between that is installed in a wall permanently but cools an entire room. These AC appliances basically are known as ductless mini-split AC appliances, & they even double as area heaters.
