My daughter Al is fourteen, plus she is an easily social person. Al has more friends than I have hair on our head, plus they seem to find a reason to throw a party or other gathering almost every weekend. This week, the gathering was stressed for our house. I don’t mind having a dozen adolescent friends running around our home, although I would love to guess they are coming over. Last week, Al forgot to tell myself and others she was having the group over. I hadn’t been grocery shopping in a couple of weeks because I was now working a lot of overtime. I barely had enough food to make a great meal let alone having enough popcorn plus finger food that would be okay for teenage adolescents. On her way to university on Friday, Al told myself and others to remember the gathering, although I was already heading out the door. When I returned home at 7:30 that evening, there were numerousteenagers staring at myself and others plus 1 asking where all my food was. I asked them all what they were hungry for. While they wrote down everything they wanted, I was putting together a quick grocery list. I knew the grocery store offered local food delivery until more than nine on the weekend. A couple of our local fast food pizzerias would do local food delivery up until 2 in the morning. I put in a grocery order that would arrive within an hour plus then called a couple local places. I had tacos plus pizza in the home within an hour plus it was all because of available local food delivery services.
