Using my music to motivate me at the gym

I have certain playlists for weight lifting, and some for the treadmill in addition to the stair-stepper.

Music is my favorite thing! I love to play it for fun, but I love to listen to it basically all day long. I have been going to the same gym for several years. I still don’t know the voices of anyone who works there. I have my headphones in when I leave the house, the entire drive there, and I never take them out until I get back home. I don’t go there to socialize or to talk to anyone, I know my routine, and I just need my soundtrack to keep me pumped up! When it comes to the gym, I have no less than thirty different styles of music that I use on Spotify. I legitimately pay extra for the premium service without commercials, because I need my music to keep me focused in the gym. Of course I don’t use the headphones when I am taking a class, or in cross fit class, however the rest of the time I never take them off. I have certain playlists for weight lifting, and some for the treadmill in addition to the stair-stepper. My workout program has been evolving over the last several years, in no small part due to the influence of my music. I never got into the gym before, and that’s because all the commotion in addition to noise distracted me and kept me from focusing on the task at hand. With my music to guide my workout program, I have become a gym junkie. I have been told that I would make a great personal trainer, but I could never do that because I couldn’t listen to my music!
